Not just for Kids !

Earlier in the year when I was trawling the Sydney markets ( which I love to do !) I found these fabulous journals. They are made from old children's books which have been reconstructed with the original story and blank pages inside. I bought one for my daughter and then wished I'd bought a second one for myself.
Well the lovely Jayne from Izzy Blu has moved up from the big smoke with her family and now I have a second chance....I have a couple of people who might also find them in their Christmas Stocking.
See you Friday !!!

Meet Jo, and be inspired for your Christmas craft.

My name is Jo Hodges and I am the owner, operator and entire staff of Indigo Inspirations. I live in Mullumbimby, Northern New South Wales, Australia in an old farm house that we moved on the back of two huge trucks to our property and renovated (well we still are really). I live here with my partner Justin, my three children Kare, Rani and Sasha, our dog Puddles and our three chickens Bob, Blackie and Salt n Pepper. I spend the majority of my time painting wool and wool felt on my verandah, or in my cute little office (which coincidently is the quietest room in the house) and working in the vege garden trying desperately to keep up with our culinary needs. I feel blessed to be able to do what I love doing…. creating, hanging out with family and friends and enjoy the freedom of running my own business. Hope to see you at the Mullumbimby Christmas Shopping night or in our new little shop in Mullum high street - Art Depot 55 ! ♥Jo

A local Favourite Myrtle & Dove.

On a small island in the Mediterranean Sea there was a community that worshipped the goddess Aphrodite, the goddess   of love. The community respected the opinions and talents of their women .
Beautiful gardens were grown, dwellings were carved from stone and wood, fabrics were woven and laces were handmade
In honour of that island community we have taken the symbols of Aphrodite, the Myrtle and the Dove, making them our own.
We have instilled the strength and femininity of the women of that island into our designs.

MYRTLE & DOVE designs are made in house at Byron Bay or through the support of local seamstresses and artisans in the surrounding New South Wales, Northern Rivers district. Our aim is to use new fabrics that are natural and organic(where possible). We also recycle vintage and retro fabrics, materials and garments enabling us to create unique limited edition clothing for your enjoyment and individuality.
