Billie Paris talks about 'Moral fibre'

Billie started moral fibre in 2002 and since then her search for the perfect supply chain & products has taken her across the globe.

Here's what she has to say about her amazing range -

Our products are designed in Australia & created in a variety of developing countries. We only use the highest quality, certified organic & ethically grown raw materials. We constantly strive to ensure that our creations leave a minimal carbon & water footprint.

We believe that increasingly consumers want to know the full ‘story’ behind the products they are buying so that both the planet and the people along the supply chain are treated with respect and dignity.

You can ask Billie all those questions and more over a glass of 'bubbles' at the shopping night :)

It takes time to make beautiful beeswax candles....

Happy Flame candles arehandmade from the very best (100%) beeswax. NO additives, no fragrances, NO OILS, NO paints, 100% natural . Every beeswax candle is hand-poured or hand-rolled, one by one... if we take care you will enjoy the difference.

Made by people, not machines.

The facts about beeswax candles... without the panic.

We make beeswax candles for three reasons:

  1. 1.They are safe to burn- no toxic fumes.

  2. 2.A beeswax candle gives a wonderful aroma, gentle, calming.

  3. 3.Our candles are beautiful to watch...they have a bright, “Happy” flame and we don’t filter out the beautiful yellow colour...unique to our candles.

Safe:

Our candles are 100% beeswax... no oils. fragrancies, no paint. We keep it simple so you can enjoy the candles without worrying , no toxic smoke, no metal wicks. Safe. All hand made.

Help your family breath easy:

When you burn your Happy Flame Candle it emits negative ions. These ions act as a “cleanser” for the surrounding air because toxins, such as dust, pollen, germs and mildew, are positive ions. When the two meet the air is purified.

Many mums have told us that burning a Happy Flame Candle has helped their kids sleep better. Our experience in our family is that the combination of the “cleansing” effect and the calming aroma certainly has helped at bedtime.

Beautiful to watch:

Have you ever had a candle that has a very “dull”, small flame? Have you watched the wick “drown” in the wax pool?

You are not alone, we hear of these issues every week.

As our name suggests, we make our candles with a bright, “Happy Flame”. NO wimpy flames on our candles. Every batch of candles have been tested until the flame and the wax burns perfectly, filling the room with beautiful light. We don’t cheat.. no oil is added to our candles to make them burn. We combine the right wick and wax, the way it should be done. Handmade, made by people, not machines.

Why Hand made is important.

We make all our candles and lanterns by hand, by the old traditional methods of candle making. We do this to ensure every candle is the very best it can be... very special to burn.

Teas to taste -elegant blends from LEEF.

Introduced to you by Lee - creator and master blender.

I had just started LEEF in 2003, had a beautiful range of eclectic fine teas but nothing beyond organic peppermint or chamomile for the herbal range. So I set about creating some blends that would refresh, inspire and engage the herbal drinker’s senses to the same extent as the teas.

The first blend, Mint Bliss, was an instant hit and to this day is still at the top of my best sellers. Over the years, many a discerning palate has tried our herbal blends. One women, an overseas buyer, tried four of the blends and claimed them to be some of the best she had ever tasted. She then told me she was the former tea buyer for Harrods in London. Others have also remarked as to the harmonious balance of flavour, ‘an elegance’, they experience with the infusions.

LEEF’s infusions best meet those whose thing is taste, great taste, and the use of quality ingredients. It is also for those interested in receiving a little love energy in every cup through the energy enhancement that we do to the blends.

At the upcoming Mullum Christmas Shopping Night you’ll be able to taste four varieties to help you select the right infusion for your gift recipients. A selection of the most popular varieties of infusions will be on offer as well as elegant diffusers, enabling a great loose-leaf cuppa to be created whether at home, at work or travelling. As an added treat for those attending, you’ll be able to pick up some great quality loose-leaf teas at a very special price – treat someone and treat yourself.

What a great couple...and if we're lucky we might even get to meet their new baby !!

. " We are Lally and Mikey and we work together making beautiful jewellery from antique and vintage items. Rather than adding new products into the world we take what is already there and give it new life. We create beautiful jewellery in a sustainable and environmentally sensitive way.

Whether its a pair of typewriter key cufflinks with your initials or a stunning collection of jewellery from your family silver just let us know what you have in mind and we will do our best to make it a reality. "

Lots of my pressies will be coming from this talented pair this christmas time :)

Another of our all time local favorites.

The Waterlife Story By creator Victoria Clayton.

When my first child was born, I decided I couldn't bear to use soap on her tender body - which was fine until she started playing in the mud and climbing trees. I also tried to use as little soap as possible, as I found it so drying to my skin. Then, about 10 years ago I started buying a beautiful hand made soap, produced by a Soap Artisan on the Sunshine Coast. I became addicted, buying a log or two when I could (I loved having a choice of scents). I was seduced by the mysterious process of soap-making and why hand made soap was so different to the commercial products that smelt so "psuedo" and were so drying.

A few years ago I moved to Tasmania, and was unable to buy my favourite soap for awhile. I decided to study and research soapmaking. When I moved back north to Northern NSW, I was working in my long time profession as a Interior Designer, but when he opportunity arose for me to spend more time on my Soapmaking skills I grabbed it, and haven't looked back. Every day I get excited about how the latest batch has turned out, and how new essential oil blends are performing and our recipes are evolving.

The luxury of Hand made soap is an ongoing passion for me...I hope you enjoy it too.
